How To Order A Gun
How To Order A gun Online.
Whether you order a gun from us or another online retailer, there are some steps that need to be followed and some useful tips to help you out. First you need to find a firearm that you like, MAKE SURE THAT FIREARM IS LEGAL TO OWN IN YOUR AREA, if you are not sure if the item is legal in your area, contact your transferring dealer for their guidance. While some items are not banned/prohibited specifically, their ultimate configuration may be prohibited and may require further modifications in its configuration to be legal, (especially in places like NY, CA, NJ to just to name a few). Then find a dealer in your area to accept the firearm for you. Contact the dealer of your choice and see if they will accept the firearm for you. If they will, then you order your firearm online and have your receiving dealer send their FFL to the shipping FFL (the dealer you are buying the gun from).
If you are buying a firearm from us, YOU MUST have your dealer fax their FFL to (502) 473-8223 or email it to us, at the same email address that your order confirmation comes from. Some dealers require the FFL to be sent in different ways, so check with the dealer you are buying your gun from to see how they want the FFL sent. Usually this whole process can be completed in as little as a few days to a few weeks. Handguns, Stripped Lower Receivers, Complete Lower Receivers and Pistol Grip "Cruiser Style" Shotguns must be shipped to a dealer in your state of residence.
It does not matter to us in which order these steps are done. Order the firearm, then have your dealer fax their FFL, and we will hold that firearm for you until we receive the FFL or have your dealer fax their FFL, then order the firearm. Either way, we ask that your dealer, at a minimum, put your name on/ with the FFL to aid in matching them up.
YOU DO NOT need to worry about filling in your dealers address in the "shipping address" field in the checkout. We automatically ship all firearms to the address listed on your dealers FFL.
We can not and WILL NOT ship a firearm without first receiving a current, legible copy of a valid FFL.
Due to numerous carriers now allowing packages to be rerouted from the printed shipping address on the package, we will NO LONGER provide tracking number for shipments containing firearms.
Cliff Note Version;
1. Order the firearm you like.
2. Have your dealer fax or email their FFL to us indicating your name and/or order number.
3. Complete the required paperwork and pick up your firearm when it arrives at your dealer.
If you have any questions about ordering a firearm, please feel free to call or email us, that is why we are here.
LOCAL PICK UP NOT AVAILABLE.
When your firearm arrives at your dealer.
When you go to your local dealer to do the REQUIRED paperwork, be sure to inspect the firearm to make sure that it is WHAT you ordered and that you are happy with it, BEFORE you do the paper work. Most times if there is a manufacturing defect, that must be addressed by the manufacturer and only you can do this.
